Abstract
Lassa hemorrhagic fever (L H F) which is caused by Lassa virus (L A S V) from the Arenaviradae family is a transmittable disease from rodent to rodent, from rodent to human and from human to human in this paper, we formulate a mathematical model for the control of Lassa fever epidemic in Nigeria considering six compartments for the human and four compartments for the rodent population incorporating Latent and isolation as the major control measure. The disease free equilibrium point of the model was performed the local stability was obtained and analyzed using linearization method. The result showed that the disease free equilibrium is asymptotically stable when \(\frac{\beta_{h} \Lambda_{h}}{\mu_{k}}<\left(\gamma_{h}+\mu_{h}\right)\)and \(\frac{\beta, \Lambda_{p}}{\mu_{r}}<\left(\gamma_{r}+\mu_{r}\right)\).
