Abstract
In this paper, we proposed a new one parameter continuous probability distribution, named the Kpenadidum distribution. Some important statistical properties such as the shape of its density for different values of the parameter, the moment generating function, the crude moment and the distribution of its order statistics were derived. The parameter of the new distribution was estimated using maximum likelihood method. The flexibility of the new distribution was shown by the means of two real life data sets, the goodness of fit shows that the Kpenadidum distribution performed better than the base distribution and other competing distributions for the data sets used in this work.
